What is the difference between LCD and LED? Sinocrystal --the LCD manufacturers will give a brief introduction:
The following figure shows the LCD display:
As shown in the figure below: LED display
There are many kinds of LCD Display, including TFT color display and LCD black-and-white display. LCD black-and-white display is divided into dot matrix display and segment display.
Today we mainly talk about the difference between LCD segment display and LED digital screen:
1. Different driving principles: the LCD segment diaplay is driven by alternating waveforms of COM and SEG to form an electric field to achieve the display effect. Generally, the driving chip table 16211622 is used, and the driving mode of LED digital screen is much simpler. To realize the lighting of a pen segment, it is necessary to light the positive and negative poles of a lamp bead. The commonly used driver chip is 1628 1629
2. Different display effects: the uniformity of the pen segment of the LCD display is higher than that of the LED screen, which looks higher. Especially when the product is not lit, the LCD didsplay is obviously better than the LED display screen. When the LED display screen is not lit, there is a shadow of the display content.
3. Different power consumption: because each pen segment of LED display screen is a lamp bead, the power consumption is much greater than that of LCD
4. Different production methods: the production process of LCD should be more complex than that of LED display, the investment threshold should be greater than that of LED display, and the delivery time should be greater than that of LED display.
The 8 inch displays might be affected and delay for an accident.
New iPhone 13 Series will use On-Cell OLED Displays. And it that will be launched in the second half of this year will be exclusively supplied by Samsung Display (SDC)
